Carl Thomas Parish age 82, of Perry died on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Perry Lutheran Home in Perry. Private family services are planned at a later date. Memorials may sent to the Carris Family Funeral Home in Perry.

Carl was born on August 4, 1927 at Platteville, WI to Elwood and Gretta (Thomas) Parrish. He graduated from Platteville High School. He then joined the United States Navy and served in the Pacific Theatre. Carl had several occupation during his working life. He sold cars, worked at a factory in Rockford, IL, sold Amway products worked as Custodian at Walmart.

Carl loved cars, especially convertibles and enjoyed doing word search puzzles.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Gretta Parish.

Survivors include his 2 sons, Steven Parish (Carol), of Machesney Park, IL, Mike Parish(Rose), of Sebastian, FL, daughter, Deb VanHoose (Jim), of Springfield, MO, 26 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a sister, Eleanor Wojan, of Perry, IA.
