Emeline "Emily" Louise Jones age 71, of Ridgecrest, CA died on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at her daughter's home in Ogden, IA. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Water's Edge Church, 341 W. Walnut St. Ogden, IA on Saturday, June 5 at 1:00 p.m. and also at her brother's home, 128 Kathy Ave., Ridgecrest, CA on Saturday, June 12, at 1:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to The Humane Society or Iowa Hospice and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home.

Emeline Louise Jones was born on October 25, 1938 in Sewickley, PA, to Alfred Lewis Chieze and Audrey Mae (Deemer) McCann. She graduated from Burroughs High School, in Ridgecrest, CA in 1956. Emily worked several different jobs, including supplies at China Lake NWC and bookkeeping for private businesses.

Emily was a member of the St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church. She loved helping animals and people, writing music and singing with local talent.

Emily was preceded in death by parents, Alfred Chieze and Audrey McCann.

Survivors include her brother, Don J.J. Chieze of Ridgecrest, CA, children, Douglas J. Butler Jr. of Ridgecrest, CA, Deborah L. Howard of Noblesville, IN, Sheldon L. McArthur of Bismark, ND, Richard N. Kaip, Jr. of Santa Fe, NM, Maria L. Watke of Ogden, IA, Michael S. Kaip of St. Michael, MN and Carrie M. Asher of Zephyr Hills, FL, 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
